Is there a way to access Nightfall without my game delivered yet? I got my game pre-ordered from Walmart.com and it just shipped out 10-25. But it's not scheduled to be delivered until after Halloween [11-01]! I would hate to miss out on opening events / prizes and any Nightfall Halloween event / prizes! Is there a pre-order access key like back in Factions??

Well, there are Nightfall buddykeys (14 days or 10 hours)... maybe some1 is willing to give you 1 for the 1st few days??

I feel your pain, but at least there is still plenty to do with today's update.

And remember that the Halloween event is also in Lions Arch just in case.

but i've already been in the lions arch event last year. i want to try out the elona halloween event this year.

i guess this problem is what happens when anet decides to get greedy with Nightfall and charges customers for the extra slot in the pre-order pack instead of giving the pre-order pack for free like in previous games. and this leads to no pre-order head start access key in the Nightfall pre-order packs. makes for a sloppy pre-order experience for some customers.

Yeah what Ninna said. Also you're getting a character slot for half the price of the ones you can buy in the ingame store.

With people there's always something to complain about.

Ok after searching I was unable to find an answer...if we have the pre-release bonus pack will there be a grace period we are allowed to play before purchasing the game?

anet support got back to me:

"Unfortunately, you will be unable to add a Nightfall Trial Access Key onto your existing Prophecies/Factions account. Nightfall Trial Access Keys can only be used to create new accounts. With a new account, you will be able to log into the Nightfall campaign."

hmm, i'm thinking about buying Nightfall from either Fred Meyers or Best Buy and then returning to them the one that gets delivered to me. what do you guys think? which store has a better return policy for unopened games? i won't have to pay a restocking fee will i?

i also need to know if there will be a supply problem on release day. and when are the games on the shelves 26 or 27? thanks.

Got my CE from my local EB in Duluth GA yesterday. It was the only one they had that was not already spoken for by someone who preordered.

ok just got my standard copy from fred meyers, and will return the shipped copy [when i get it] back to fred meyers.

btw: i don't need to worry about walmart.com shipping me a different box will i? there's only one box design for the standard copy right?

My recommendation for people who have pre-ordered and have yet to received the game would be to purchase the game via the In-Game Online Store. You have a choice in the Online Store for SE/CE/PvP Editions.

When you finally receive your pre-order, just take it back for a refund. If you do not break the seal, it should not be a problem getting your money back.
